Dear B-A's Just a note of some of the spring arrivals and other birds of interest that have appeared around my "neck of the woods" in the last 2 weeks. A Shining Bronze-Cuckoo was brought to my staffroom by a few students on the 12/9. It had apparently flown into the windows of the Chapel at College. By next day it was eager to get going with no apparent ill effects. I saw 3 White-throated Nightjars at Mt Coot tha over last weekend, also heard Sacred Kingfisher and Channel-billed Cuckoo yesterday at the same spot.
