Although I am well known for my support of the rural sector in general, I am
NOT in favour of the massive clearing that is happening in some areas.  The
degradation of the land by salting is also deplored.

The news has just been released that the Qld government has once again
failed to take the hard decisions today.  I know of the level of opposition
it has received regards its stand but still nothing is being done.
