A few years ago a pair of Powerful Owls nested in Greens Bush on the Mornington Peninsula(Vic) and I often observed them quietly at dusk and on several occasions when in the company of two other people we were attacked by one very irate Powerful Owl. It flew straight at us screaming but fortunately veered off before making contact. It was an awesome experience!
