Hi everyone,
There have been recent threads on the movement of Crested Pigeons into
southern Melbourne. I walk regularly around Monash University and up until
early this year had never seen a Crested Pigeon here. This year I have
seen the odd single bird and today there were three. Not a significant
increase but in keeping with others observations. Also this morning around
the Monash Uni pond was a Nankeen Night Heron which is now roosting there
almost every night and the ubiquitous Rainbow and Musk Lorikeets, Eastern
Rosella, Grey Butcherbird, Musk and Black Duck, Great Cormorant and
White-faced Heron.
Best Wishes
John Boyce
