Hi Birders,
Laurie Knight asked a question as to whether Southern Emu-wrens are known to reach the NSW/Qld Border.
In the book "Handlist of Birds in New South Wales" Morris, McGill & Holmes, 1981 it says of the South Emu-wren:

"Moderately common. Resident. Eggs August-December.
Coast, Northern and Central Tablelands. Mainly near coast and on adjacent plateaux; apparently isolated populations father west include catchments of the Clarence River (Surface Hill, Cataract River, Koreelah Range, Woodenbong Creek, Gibralter Range) and Blue Mountains (west to Bowenfels). Mainly heaths subject to inundation; also tall sedges bordering marshes and mangroves"

From my 1:250000 Series maps it would appear that Wodenbong Creek and Koorelah Range adjoin the McPherson Range so that Boonan Border gate and Wilsons Peak are adjacent to or synomous with Koorelah Range/Wodenbong Creek as per two of the specific locations mentioned for SEWs in the NSW Handlist.
