I was visiting with some friends at Clydesdale, near Hepburn Springs -
Daylesford, in Central Victoria over the weekend. A very pleasant
surprise for me this morning was a flock of about 15 SWIFT PARROTS in
some early-flowering Yellow Gums across the road from the house. My
first Swifties for the year - hopefully the first of many ..........

A flock of about 15 Swift Parrots found in the canopy of an
early-flowering Yellow Gum (Eucalyptus leucoxylon) over the road from
Penny & Michelle's house, about 09:00 on 9/4/2000. We watched them
feeding on the blossoms of 2-3 trees in the stand, and then they moved
on. I didn't see or hear them at any other time on Sat or Sun.
