Owl Nesting Boxes

Bob,

Regarding owl boxes - the Canegrowers organisation is recommending a nest box 
(with
full instructions) for breeding owls made from 6 planks of timber.  It is on 
their
website - www.canegrowers.com.au/Environment/Owls/howto.htm

I just tried to bring that page up but there was no respnse so went to
http://www.canegrowers.com.au/  then clicked on Environment and then How to
Construct an Owl Nesting Box.

It was designed by John Young and it works - apparently of something like 28 
boxes
put up last year in the Ingham district 26 were occupied by the time the 
breeding
season came round, mostly by Barn Owls.
