I would like to thank the people who responded to my request. We had a
very pleasant and successful weekend.

I have scarcely been able to do any birding for a year because of foot
problems so it was wonderful to finally see a bird I have missed out on for
years - the Scarlet Honeyeater, seen up close feeding in Robyn Gordon
grevilleas next to the tennis court where we stayed and then a group seen
in Jackarandas at Chichester Dam. ( I seem to have a liking for small red
and black birds - another alltime favourite is the Red-backed Fairy-wren,
seen at Lake Cathie some years back.)

Isn't birding-aus great?

Regards,

Susan Knowles
