I am mailing to see if anyone might be interested in joining us on a birding
trip from Cape Town to Victoria Falls in March 2000. Currently, the
participants are all personal friends, however, there have been a couple of
drop-outs for very genuine reasons.
The trip comes in two parts as follows:-
1) A main tour from Windhoek to Vic. Falls via Walvis Bay, Etosha, Shakawe
(in the Okavango Panhandle) and the Caprivi Strip. Duration 3 weeks 12/3 to
1/4, cost AU$ 3300 per person sharing which includes almost everything.
Vacancies for a single male and any couple willing to share.
2) An optional pre-tour from Cape Town to Windhoek via the coastal Karoo,
Lambert's Bay, the Namaqualand Karoo and Hardap Dam. Duration one week 4/3
to 10/3, cost AU$ 1150 per person sharing.
Note that travel to/from Africa and any pre/post accommodation you may
desire is at your own cost, similarly the free period between tours in
Windhoek involving accom. and meals for the nights of 10th and 11th March is
also at your own cost.
