until you Queenslanders abide by the rules and all finish at the same
designated place you cannot claim to hold the record.

Hi Peter

We live in a very LARGE State, of all the teams that participated in this years Twitch I think we covered the least kilometres (450 kl) do you wish us to travel to Cairns (400 kl) or Brisbane (1500 kl) to compete and burn all that extra fuel?
The point is we got the most species in the country and all within a 100 kl radius of Townsville, Australia's best kept birdwatching secret.
Birding Ausser's on your next trip to north Queensland dont bypass us for Cairns stop and take a look for yourself.

By the way we are not claiming the record, just the best score this year.

Regards

To a man ornithologists are tall, slender, and bearded, so
that they can stand motionless for hours, imitating kindly
trees, as they watch for birds.
