The Melanesian Megapode M. eremita, also found in the Bismarcks,
Admiralties and other nearby islands.  It is described in Jones et al.,
"The Megapodes" (Oxford UP 1995) as "a medium-sized very dark megapode with
naked skin of head and neck dull pinkish-red".  Its legs are dark.
