This bird would almost certainly be an egret banded by Stuart Halse et al.
in WA.  Stuart can be contacted at Dept. Conservation & Land Management, P.
O. Box 51, Wanneroo, WA.

I don't have details of codes used etc, these are held by Stuart.

A paper by Geering, Maddock, Cam, Ireland, Halse and Pearson in Corella
1998, 22(2) gives details of movements of Great, Intermediate and Little
Egrets in Australia, including those banded in Western Australia.

I would be very interested in hearing on the details of this bird when you
have them.
