It also depends on how the counter functions.  I put a different counter on
every page, so my front page ticks over slowly, and doesn't if someone goes
directly to one of the other pages.  I know a number of pages that use the
same counter for every page, and so the counter ticks over much faster.
I would have thought that 10 hits a day over such a long period was a good
rate to be proud of.
