Subject: birding-aus Hailstorm

Hi ... At a meeting tonight about other matters I was asked where all the birds went during the recent Sydney hailstorm and why were there no corpses. I am not sure ... any ideas?

Not sure - although I did see a  photo of a very battered looking seagull in one of the newspapers.  Also one article made mention of the workload WIRES (Wildlife rescue service) was under with injured birds from the storm.
