News has just broke of a Laughing Gull in Victoria. Apparently it was
found only yesterday 18-Apr-99 at Peterborough, Near Port Campbell
along the VICTORIAN west coast. Sorry I do not have any more details
at this stage. It may well be worth heading down that way if you need
this bird though.
Although other reports exist there are only 3 confirmed records for
Australia at this point in time which are as follows.
Triabunna, TAS 06-Dec-88
Eyre, WA 28-Dec-88
Lakes Entrance, VIC 11-Dec-89
Does anyone know of any other records? If anyone managed to obtain
photographs of the Cairn's Laughing Gull some years back could you let
me know (privately please).
