Further to Richard Dilena's note re swifts, Adelaide had some very unsettled
summer low pressure cloudy conditions on Tuesday 2/2 in the late afternoon
and evening. There were several lots of Fork-tailed Swifts about in groups
of four to eight in association with some sort of Woodswallow ( too high to
pick, but most likely Duskies )and a lot of Tree Martins. One or two of the
Swifts flew low enough to see the white on the sides of their rumps as they
rolled in flight, and some very light whitish scalloping was visible on the
breast area.
