Koonung Creek Reserve, North Balwyn, Melbourne (alongside the Eastern
Freeway) Melways Map 32, E 11 to J 12.
Increasing numbers of Rainbow Lorikeets have been common in North
Balwyn for the last 15-20 years. This Summer they have been joined by
flocks of Musk Lorikeets numbering 30+. Mostly observed feeding in
eucalypts and then flying off in a north-easterly direction each
evening 8PM to 8:45 PM.
