Highlights in NSW over the last week or so are as follows: BULLER'S SHEARWATER 2 17/12 and 7 north 29/12 Mistral Point, Maroubra, Sydney BROWN BITTERN 1 over New England highway at Maitland 2/1 BRUSH TURKEY 1 active mound Mackerel Beach, Pittwater, Sydney 25/12 AUSTRALIAN CRAKE 1 McGrath's Hill, Windsor 22/12 JAPANESE SNIPE 1 Centennial Park, Sydney 2/1 PACIFIC (FORK-TAILED) SWIFT "a few" in with White-throated Needletails Turramurra, Sydney 26/12 and 4 Bellingen 31/12 CHANNEL-BILLED CUCKOO juveniles reported in the last week from Glebe and Ryde Chris Gladwin Sydney, Australia <> BIRDLINE NSW (02) 9439 9536 - sponsored by Birds Australia, NSW Field Ornithologists Club, Cumberland Bird Observers Club, Hunter Bird Observer's Club and Illawarra Bird Observers Club Please reply direct as I am unable to see "Birding-Aus" |
