I agree with Anne Green's comments, I think the whole concept would get much better support from birdos if the timing were to be late autumn,winter, and early spring. FAAAAR more acceptable in terms of weather conditions and there would be just as many sightings except for a few migrant species. Even if fewer species were counted, with more people out there the funds raised would likely be higher than at present. I'd even go myself!! Tony Russell, the cooler months man.
