Dear birding-ausers,

I am redirecting this to your attention in view of all these species being
recorded in twitchathons. Lots of you joined in last year and made money
for conservation through next to no extra effort. Here's your chance again
this year.

Cheers

Des Allen

Please take part in the 4th Annual NTT World Bird Count, by submitting the s
ightings of any and all birds at the following website.

http://www.wnn.or.jp/wnn-n/w-bird/index_e.html

or email:

The NTT World Bird Count is a fund-raising and awareness raising event for c
onservation around the world, linking together all the world's nature lovers
to create one big worldwide birdwatching event. Using email, internet, fax
and mail, everyone is linked together in this global birdwatch.

You can send in reports of any species, common or uncommon, from any birdwat
ching trips you do (or did) between October 1 to 31. You are not limited in
the number of times you report! Report with a friend! Report with a group!
 The more the merrier.

There is a neat feature on the homepage listing all the people who report by
internet, which is kind of fun to look at. Someone from France has reported
almost everyday for two weeks!

If you see a bird, report it and build the world bird list. For every speci
es on the world list, NTT Corporation will donate 1,000 Yen (about $8.75, bu
t rising daily!) to BirdLife International's Asian conservation efforts. He
lp us out with funding, simply by reporting the birds you saw!

Check out the website
http://www.wnn.or.jp/wnn-n/w-bird/index_e.html
for more info and a highlight of some nature conservation in Indonesia. It
is nice to hear some good news from Asia for a change!

Thank you so much for your participation this year! For those of you who re
ported last year (and before), special thanks for your continued support!

With many thanks,
Yours,

Jason Minton
