I don't know the bird fuana of WA that well, having only been there once,
but I think I'm right in saying that Purple-crowned Lorikeets (the only
native Lorikeets in WA), are highly migratory, and would probably have
visited your area in times past at intervals of several years, depending on
the blossoming.
