                         For those "North Islanders" following the fortunes of the Swift Parrot the first records this Spring I am aware of from the South of Tas.:
                               Small flocks in Hobart suburbs 10/9/98
                               Flock of c.50 pursued by a Brown (over optimistic!) Falcon 
                               reported from South Bruny Island 10/9/98
