Hi All
         7 Sep 98, 0930, (1) Pied Imperial-Pigeon, Daintree Valley, first
return. This is the sixth migrant to show up in the valley this spring with
more to come.

I had the pleasure of Ian Clayton's company this morning and Ian had
heard them in the Cape Tribulation rainforest, one mountain range to the
north, yesterday. The ones that he heard will most likely nest at Hope
Islands near where Capt Cook hit the reef whereas the one seen today will
probably nest at Low Isles off Port Douglas.
cheers
Chris
