Re: Donga again

     Hello everyone
     The Australian National Dictionary (Oxford) only mentions the dry 
     water course or the humble dwelling definition.
     
     The Macquarie (2nd edition) gives 5 meanings:
     1: shallow gully, 2: makeshift shelter, 3: (in PNG) a house, 4: 
     (colloquially The Bush), and 5: as a verb colloquially to loaf or 
     bludge.
     
     Incidentally the Macquarie also defines
     
     Dong to hit, or colloquially an element of wedding tackle
     
     Donger, a club (fir stunning fish etc.) and colloquially in wedding 
     tackle as above.
     
     The Macquarie does not mention that the dong is the Vietnamese unit of 
     currency.
