Hi there Tom and Dixie, "Donga" is the name used by those people on Australian Antarctic bases for their personal sleeping quarters or "home" for the duration of their stay. I also note that in general terms (in the dictionary) it means "a makeshift shelter". To my knowledge it is not used much here except in Antarctic terms, where its use is common.
