Greetings! My name is Sarina Hobbin, and I am a Market Analyst for the
Queensland Tourist and Travel Corporation (QTTC). The QTTC is the
statutory authority of the Queensland government responsible for
marketing the state's tourism destinations.
The QTTC is currently undertaking a study into the Australian birding
market. In doing so, we are consulting tourism operators who specialize
in the market, birding associations, and birders, to identify a number
of general characteristics about birders and the activity of birding.
We would greatly appreciate your input to this study, as at present,
there is little or no information on the birding market in Australia, or
more particularly in Queensland. By gathering this information we will
be able to greatly improve communications with the market and recommend
improved products, services and facilities for birders.
Please be assured that the information we collect will be strictly
confidential, and will be consolidated into an overall summary to
identify common trends only. No individual responses will be passed on
to any third party, and no individual will be contacted for sales
purposes.
