Thanks to everyone for all the messages re birding on television in recent
days - it sure opened a can of worms. Many were quite humorous, some
serious.

What I didn't realise is that so many of you (or should I say US) are
really couch potatoes at heart!

Let's get out there and observe real birds!

But to return to the thread - this time diverging onto videos and movies.
This evening (it's been a hot day here in SA) I treated myself to watching
a video of the movie "Fly Away Home", the story of Canada Geese following a
young girl's ultra light aircraft (in the shape of a huge Goose) from
Canada to Florida. I thoroughly recommend this movie when you find yourself
house bound by weather/illness/whatever. Magnificent photography and quite
humourous - AND IT'S MOSTLY ABOUT BIRDS!!!

Enjoy,

Trevor Hampel
