Saibai Island visit

On the 9.1. a group of 12 birdwatchers plus two guides (Peter Slater &
Gordon Beruldsen) flew from Bamaga to Saibai Island.
Unfortunately the New Guinea drought affected also Saibai (4 km off New
Guinea) still in January. Not much rain has fallen there and at Pajinka in
the last 7 month.
Very hot conditions and the dry weather resulted in a disappointing bird list.
Nevertheless, a few additions were made to the existing bird list, and a
possible Black Sunbird was too briefly seen.
There are two bird lists attached, one as a text file. Sorry about the
attachments, but as they are coded I can't send it in this message.
Happy Birding to you all, Klaus
