Work has now started on compiling the species accounts for Volume 5 of the
Handbook of Australian, New Zealand and Antarctic Birds (HANZAB) and we are
in need of photos of the following species/subspecies to help with the
illustrations and compilation of Field Identification and Plumages texts:

Red-browed Pardalote Pardalotus rubricatus: any photos of juveniles (all
subspecies) and photos of adults and juveniles of the Gulf country and Cape
York subspecies P. r. carpentariae and yorki, respectively. Photos of wild
birds or of those in the hand are equally acceptable. Can anyone help out
with slides/prints or alternatively, suggest someone who might be able to?

Any material sent to us will probably need to be retained for at least 2
months. Naturally, great care will be taken with any slides etc by storing
them in suitably dry, dust-free conditions (in a fire-proof room). If you
can help but don't wish to part with your photos for such a long period, we
would be willing to cover the cost of duplicating slides. Any assistance
will of course be fully acknowledged in the book.

If you can help out or require further information, please contact me or
send any material to me c/o the address below.

Cheers,

David W Eades
