The increasing crow population in Brisbane suburbs and city is an
interesting phenomenon in itself.
In mid-October we watched a crow eating overripe pawpaw (papaya) on a
tree at Point Lookout, North Stradbroke I.. Nothing strange about that,
they are destructive in pineapple crops, but what was strange was that the
numerous garden snails lodged amongst the fruit on the tree were not
touched by the crow.
Are garden snails eaten by birds in Australia? or anywhere else for
that matter.
