Hi, Spent the Weekend at Deep creek CP in Sth. Aust. and saw a few interesting sightings. Adelaide rosella and one that was that so red it was almost a Crimson Rosella ( perhaps it was ) Sulphur Crested Cockatoo Black Cockatoo - could not see what sort exactly,I saw no yellow flashes - there is supposed to be an isolated colony of Glossy Blacks down here somewhere. Kookaburra - thin specimen in top condition with extemely vivid blue patch on it's wing which I thought was unusual. Scarlet robins Splendid fairy-wrens Red Browed finches Eastern Spinebill Brown Treecreeper all in Stringybark forest with Blackboy understory also found an Echidna burrowing in under an Xanthorrea Sooty Oyster-catcher down on the beach. Regards, Peter. |
