My _National Geographic Society: Field Guide to the Birds of North America_,
(Second Edition, 1996) gives the same info. The R T-d is paler, slightly
smaller, and the call is quite different. The Collared is also in NA -
"breeding widely in southern Florida". The R T-d is "not firmly established
anywhere" - so it may not be such a pest.
All I saw was one lone bird (white) - but will keep my eyes peeled for it
now. If I see any more will let someone know - who? <g>
