I'm planning to spend some birding in Royal National Park and around
Homebush Bay in the next couple of weeks, travelling by train (or other
public transport) and on foot. At the moment, I plan on spending an
afternoon in Royal NP, and most of a day around Homebush Bay (and
Centenial Park if I have time.)

Peter Robert's guide to the Sydney region describes a walk from Waterfall
station in Royal NP, mainly along the Couranga Track and returning along
McKell Avenue. There is an optional extension to the walk around the
Forest Path. Has anyone done this walk since the big fires of a few
years ago, or could suggest a better walk?

Thanks in advance.
