Its great to hear some responses about Barn owls. it certainly seems that
they're probably not uncommon residents in suburban areas, but are hard to
find. I asssume that ones seen in city areas are probably taking advantage
of the abundant supply of rats and mice. I assume the same is true of
wayward kestrels and sparrowhawks which I have seen over the inner
metropolitan suburbs a number of times.
