Rob Davis wrote about a Barn Owl in Fremantle. Rob Maybe 10 years ago in the middle of a very hot summer's day in suburban Mosman Park (Perth) I saw a Barn Owl roosting in a street tree - and being mobbed by the local Brown and Singing Honeyeaters. Some years later I flushed a Barn Owl from a palm-tree at Grove Farm. Boobooks are quite common around the Perth metropolitan area (not infrequently heard on summer nights) - it looks like Barn Owls are probably reasonably prevalent (but less heard) as well.
