I think read in a magazine around last New Year that there was a New Years Day Garden Bird Count, and people were encouraged to get out in the garden and count birds for an hour or so from 8 am on New Years Day. I believe a bearded environmental guru was associated with it - Vince Serventy or Harry Butler or someone like that. Sorry to be so vague, but you can imagine what New Years Eve does to some people. Can anyone else be more specific? Paul Fennell |
