A most forgettable day for birds with only 7 people turning up, not even birds around a working trawler. List :- Silver Gull 50 Kelp Gull 4 Crested Tern 15 Aus. Gannet 10 Arctic Jaeger 4 Pomarine Jaeger 1 Wedge-tail Shearwater 4 Short-tail Shearwater 1 Wilson's Stormpetrel 1 Providence Petrel 1 Water up to 24 C. but we had good views of Short-fin Pilotwhales (20) and Bottle-nose Dolphin (100) and to liven up the event Capt. Carl spent about an hour landing a 100 + kg Striped Marlin. Chris |
