Wild populations of common pheasant exist on King Island and are protected as a game species. Only males are allowed to be taken. The two day hunting season occurs in June with a maximum bag limit of 3 birds per day. --------------- Robbie Gaffney Ramsar Wetlands Project Officer Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service, GPO Box 44A HOBART Tasmania 7001 Australia Fax (03) 6233 3477 ph (03) 6233 3117 |
