Conservationists in Tasmania are seeking legal advice in their
attempts to lease duck-hides at Moulting Lagoon on the state's East
Coast.

The Tasmanian Duck Protection Association says its application to
lease the hides as a base for protest action, during next month's
shooting season, has been rejected.

The group's Bob Reip says the Department of Environment and
Land Management has discriminated against conservationists.

One wonders if it would be possible for non-shooters to lease ALL the 
hides.  Would that prevent hunting at the site?
