At last! A replacement box of the famous 'Birdfinder' (aka "The Complete
Guide to Finding the Birds of Australia" by Richard and Sarah Thomas) has
arrived, and unlike the last one, unsoggy.

While in Australia, Richard and Sarah saw all bar three of the Australian
endemics (Red Goshawk, Night and Paradise Parrots, for the record) - in
simple, practical, environmentally-friendly terms, this book tells you how
you can too! (Plus hints for The Three!!)

If you're in Canberra, it's now at the Bogong Environment Shop at the
Canberra Environment Centre, Kingsley St Civice (ph 2473064). Otherwise, let
me know and I'll send it straight away, with an invoice.

Cost is $35 plus $3 postage.

Best wishes,

Ian

PS, St George's Plain, near Bemm River in East Gippsland, has a very
obliging and curious population of Southern Emu-wrens. Also a pair of Hooded
Plovers on the beach at Wingan Inlet. (That's from our just completed East
Gippsland Tour, not the book.)
