On the front page of a local rag called the Inner West news or something,
Irene who often contributes to our chat, was photographed holding her
binoculars and talking into her little tape recorder and on the other
side was her excellent photo of a Boobook owl winking.

This was all good publicity for her cause to halt the construction of a
pathway through a mangrove forest. The journalist distorted everything
Irene said and had such things as white-browed Scrubwrens and Tawny
Frogmouths as rare.

This didn't really matter as the publicity for birds was terrific! Irene
may we have the full story please?
