Wildlife Acoustics will be offering two Bat Detector and Software Training Courses, led by Dr. Cori Lausen. This three-day course provides background on the principles of bat echolocation, hands-on experience with the Song Meter SM2BAT+, Echo Meter EM3, and new Echo Meter Touch, and discussion addressing the various software components for configuration and analysis.  Topics will include the basics of bat echolocation, species identification, field applications of bat detectors and overviews of Wildlife Acoustics hardware and software.

Participants will learn how to use the following software associated with the Wildlife Acoustics equipment:

 

The first class will be in Phoenix, AZ, April 21-23, 2014.

 

The second class will be in Maynard, MA, June 3-5.
