Position at: University at Buffalo, SUNYThe Neural and Cognitive Plasticity Laboratory, in cooperation with the National Marine Mammal Foundation, is seeking graduate students (masters or doctoral level) interested in contributing to studies of echoic perception, spatial hearing, auditory plasticity, and auditory cognition in cetaceans. This research can be pursued through any of the following programs: M.A. in General Psychology; M.S. in Evolution, Ecology, & Behavior; Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience, Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology; or Ph.D. in Evolution, Ecology, & Behavior. In addition to working with faculty at UB, several of whom study auditory perception and animal cognition, students will have the opportunity to work closely with researchers in San Diego at the NMMF, and to interact with other cetacean cognition researchers in the Western New York area.
