Dear Colleague,
The 14th International Meeting on Invertebrate Sound and Vibration will take place at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, July 23-26, 2013.
Information about this meeting is available at
http://www.isv2013.org .
Accommodation for the meeting is now available to be booked online through the conference website. University campus accommodation and a small range of hotels are available. The hotel rooms are being provided through the Glasgow City tourist board, and will
be held available for ISV2013 conference delegates. However, there are numerous hotels in Glasgow, so you may be able to find something cheaper elsewhere on the internet.
Registration and abstract submission for the meeting are also open. Abstract submission closes on 10th May 2013. We will make every effort to give all people who would like to contribute a talk the possibility to do so. However, talk slots will be limited
and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We have already started to receive abstracts, so please don't wait until the last day if you wish to give a talk! We will accommodate a large number of posters, should you not get a talk slot.
The registration fee (students £195, others £295) includes lunches and the conference dinner.
Thanks to sponsorship from the Society for Experimental Biology (http://www.sebiology.org) the conference is able to provide a limited number of scholarships. Each scholarship will provide a fee waiver (free entry)
to the recipient. These scholarships are primarily aimed at those students and early career researchers who might not normally attend ISV due to funding constraints in their home countries.
Please feel free to explore the website www.isv2013.org where you can find information about Abstracts, Accommodation, Registration, Speakers, Scholarships and more!
Please forward this message to your students and colleagues who may be interested in this meeting. If you were not the original recipient of this e-mail and would like to be included in future mailings (or removed from them), please let us know at
We look forward to seeing you in July!
The organizing committee: James Windmill and Shira Gordon.
