The Centre for Ultrasonic Engineering (CUE), located in the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering at The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, has a one-year postdoctoral position available within it’s Biologically Inspired Acoustics Systems (BIAS) programme. This will continue CUE's ground breaking research into the echo-location techniques employed by the bat. This work will involve the use of a wide range of research techniques, including finite element simulation, experimental measurement and data analysis. The principal objective of this research programme is to translate biologically inspired acoustic techniques into practical engineered acoustic systems.

If you have any questions please contact me, or the Director of the Centre, Dr Tony Gachagan
