I recently measured the frequency response of the TASCAM HD-P2 recorder by feeding a linear sine sweep signal into its line input. The recorded .wav file was analyzed in Avisoft-SASLab Pro: http://www.avisoft.com/scratch/alias_HD-P2.gif I guess that the microphone input provides a very similar frequency response.
