> Sound Forge (sonicfoundry.com) has simple FM synthesis. Adobe Audition (formerly CoolEdit) can produce log and linear FM sweeps with up to 5 components (harmonic or not) and additional sinusoidal modulation. Several kinds of waveform shapes (sine, square, inv sine etc) are provided. This is based on my knowledge of CoolEdit 2000 but I assume that Adobe Audition can do the same or even more.
