We at Siemens have good experience with the below described sound card. The
only problem is that the card is quite expensive:
This is an external soundcard I can recommend:

rel="nofollow">http://www.rme-audio.com/english/hdsp/multifa.htm</a>
It uses an PCMCIA-Interface to connect to the laptop:

rel="nofollow">http://www.rme-audio.com/english/hdsp/cardpci.htm</a>
Advantages
8 channels analog IO
10 channel digital IO
High quality
Low latency
Disadvantage: expensive 800 Euro

Betreff: Suggestions on laptop sound cards with more than 4 inputs?
I am looking for a sound card suitable for laptops
that can handle MORE than 4 audio inputs. Can anyone
suggest a brand and model that works well for them?
Thanks,
