AW: Suggestions on laptop sound cards with more than 4 inputs?

We at Siemens have good experience with the below described sound card. The
 only problem is that the card is quite expensive:
 
 This is an external soundcard I can recommend:

 It uses an PCMCIA-Interface to connect to the laptop:

 Advantages
 8 channels analog IO
 10 channel digital IO
 High quality
 Low latency
 Disadvantage: expensive 800 Euro
