The following is a digest of Sightings Reported on Birdpedia for the period
Monday, May 2, 2022 to Sunday, May 8, 2022:
Area: SA
Date: Saturday, April 23, 2022
Location: Adelaide botanic garden, close to the storage ponds
Brown Quail (Coturnix ypsilophora) (7) This was reported to me by a 14-year-old
lad who seemed to be a very keen birdwatcher. His younger sister corroborated
the sighting. He said he had also reported it on iNaturalist and ebird. I hope
his ID is correct, because that would be a first for the garden
The birds were flushed out of rushes growing close to the path between the
storage ponds
Reported by: Barbara and Peter Bansemer on Saturday, May 7, 2022
