Robin, "take the egg out" and do what with it? It really doesn't matter. The parents (if still around) might have tried again somewhere else. Philip -----Original Message----- From: Birding-Aus On Behalf Of Robin and Rupert Irwin Sent: Wednesday, 15 December, 2021 10:50 AM To: Subject: [Birding-Aus] A Wagtail I’d appreciate some advice on this - we had a Wagtail sitting on her nest which is fairly near a shed. We have of course left it alone, but there has been the odd movement around the shed. The nest is now deserted and has been for a couple of days so I have checked it. It has one very cold egg in it. I can still hear a Wagtail regularly nearby. My question is should I take the egg out or just let nature take its course.
